| Rising Stars Foundation, Inc was founded in 2006 by Arizona Cardinals middle linebacker Gerald Hayes and Cleveland Browns defensive back Mike “Pops” Adams in their efforts to lend a helping hand to underprivileged youth in their native Paterson, New Jersey.
Both born and bread in Silk City, Hayes and Adams have been best friends since they could throw a football. And together, their love of sports helped them overcome many would-be pitfalls.
With their eyes set squarely on the same goal of acquiring better lives for them and their families, young Gerald and Pop shed gallons of blood, sweat and tears on the gridiron. They gave it their all on every play, every quarter, every second of every game since the days of pop Warner and high school football. Through dedication, determination and talent, these two childhood friends are now living their dreams of playing in the National Football League. And you can see them reaping the rewards of the hard work on any given Sunday.
Having strengthened their bond through difficult childhood circumstances, Gerald and Mike decides to make a change in the place that they still call home. So they teamed up to form Rising Stars Foundation, Inc a non-profit organization committed to change one at a time of inner-city children in their breeding grounds of Paterson, New Jersey.
